Do you qualify for CY-1 to CY-2?
With experience: The target level needs 12 months of childcare or youth program experience and knowledge of child and youth development theories. The intermediate level needs 6 months of experience in a group program for children or youth, equal to the CY-01 Entry Level; the entry level needs no experience.
With education: Education can replace some experience. Target level: 12 semester hours of coursework on the age group served, a Child Development Associate (CDA) or similar nationally recognized credential, or completed competency-based training. Intermediate level: 6 semester hours in early childhood, elementary or secondary education, child and youth development, or special education, or completed childcare training that the Air Force treats as equivalent. - Professional certification or credential if you claim one
How you will be rated: Your resume, supporting documents and questionnaire answers are first checked for minimum qualifications, then compared to rate your experience. - Your resume must clearly show your childcare or youth program experience with dates and hours per week.
