- Not be disqualified from public service or have another legal impediment
- Not be declared a delinquent alimony debtor
- Not hold another job, post or commission in the federal public administration, or have a compatibility ruling
- Present authentic documents and pass the required assessments
2 Register on TrabajaEn
Registration: October 28 to November 11.
Register as an applicant at www.trabajaen.gob.mx from 28 October to 11 November 2026. Keep your folio and check TrabajaEn messages for the date of each stage.
To register you need your CURP and RFC, a TrabajaEn account and an up-to-date TrabajaEn CV. When you register for this job you get a folio number: keep it, you need it at every stage.
3 Exams and documents
The stages of the contest:
- Stage I: Automatic curriculum review on TrabajaEn (from 28 October to 11 November 2026). It only lets you continue in the process; it gives no points.
- Stage II: Knowledge exams (technical exam with minimum 80; general APF exam, average of both with minimum 70) and Skills Assessments (not grounds for elimination). From 16 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.
- Stage III: Experience assessment, merit assessment and document review, in person. From 16 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.
- Stage IV: Interview by the Technical Selection Committee. From 16 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.
- Stage V: Decision by the Technical Selection Committee. From 16 November 2026 to 25 January 2027.
Look on TrabajaEn for the topics of the knowledge exam of your job, and check your messages often: that is where your exam and document-check appointments arrive.
Keep in mind:
- If an applicant has more than one folio, only the record matching the CURP and documents stays; more than one registration for the same post leads to elimination.
- Finalists who are not chosen join the SEP applicant reserve list for one year.
- If the RFC on TrabajaEn does not match the SAT record or another official document, the applicant is eliminated.

4 Interview and result
The interview is with the Selection Technical Committee: prepare examples of your experience in the duties of the job. Then the committee chooses the winner. If you are a finalist and do not win, you join the candidate reserve for the job for one year.
The duties of the job:
- Supervise and compile updates to job catalogs and salary tables.
- Submit re-leveling, re-tabulation and restructuring proposals to the relevant Secretariats.
- Prepare notices on salary and benefit measures for sector agencies.
- Advise on and review analyses of pay and benefits for sector agencies.
