Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.

The profile they look for:
- Know building and road maintenance rules.
- Know second-fix building techniques.
- Apply health and safety rules.
- Work well in a team and report back.
- Work independently and plan jobs carefully.
- Driving licence B, CACES and electrical certifications are a plus.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- No management role.
- May be asked to work in emergencies, such as bad weather.
- The town belongs to the CNAS social fund and contributes to health and income protection insurance.
