Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A contract worker can be hired if no civil servant application succeeds. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can apply, because the entry grade in category C allows direct hiring.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Master cooking and food preparation techniques
- Know how to produce meals in collective catering
- Know hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method
- Be able to organise your work from a schedule and instructions
- Be organised, independent and a good team player
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
