Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, at the adjoint technique grades.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP Restauration/Cuisine (vocational certificate in catering and cooking)
The profile they look for:
- CAP Restauration/Cuisine diploma.
- Knowledge of the HACCP method.
- Knowledge of mass catering or traditional cooking.
- Spot workplace risks and apply prevention measures.
- Independence, organisation and good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Works Saturdays and public holidays, in a team and on rotation.
- Works alone on Sundays.
