Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP cooking, BEP cooking or bac pro catering, or a higher diploma
The profile they look for:
- CAP cooking, BEP cooking or bac pro catering, or a higher diploma.
- Solid training in traditional and collective cooking.
- Good knowledge of hygiene rules, including the HACCP method.
- Good organisation, rigour and teamwork skills.
- A sense of public service.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your CV and cover letter by post to the president of the SIVOM.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
