Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. The post is also open by contract to recognised disabled workers.

The profile they look for:
- Master culinary and cooking techniques
- Know and apply hygiene and safety rules (HACCP)
- Be able to organise and lead a team
- Know stock management rules
- Handle conflicts and stressful situations
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
