Open to civil servants and contract workers. The posts are open for the grades of ATSEM principal 1st or 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP petite enfance (early childhood care)
Experience: Experienced candidates are asked for.
The profile they look for:
- CAP petite enfance diploma.
- Hold the ATSEM civil service exam (concours d'ATSEM).
- Know child development from age 2.
- Follow basic hygiene and safety rules.
- Communicate well, listen and handle conflicts.
- Be organised, independent and patient.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: December 31 (Closes in 60 days)
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter to the town hall by post or email, as the offer explains.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Category C post, with no management duties.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
- For a contract worker, the contract is limited to 1 year, renewable up to 2 years.
