Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 diploma (CAP or equivalent) in cooking
The profile they look for:
- Diploma at level 3 in cooking
- Knowledge of hygiene rules and the food safety plan
- Methodical work organisation and time management
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Rigour, physical stamina and practical sense
- Ability to report to your manager
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
