Diploma: CAP and/or BEP, or bac pro in catering
The profile they look for:
- Able to carry heavy loads.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- Able to work in a team and on your own.
- Follows instructions and safety rules.
- Knowledge of collective catering.
- Able to count and read information quickly.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours from 6:00 to 15:45, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.
- About 1 weekend worked per month on average.
- Risks: repeated carrying of heavy loads (5 kg minimum), hot, cold and wet work areas.
