Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP early childhood or ATSEM competition wanted, not required
Experience: Experienced candidates
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B essential
- Knowledge of hygiene rules and how to use cleaning products
- Knowledge of activity and childcare techniques
- Able to spot unusual eating behaviour in children
- Knowledge of emergency first aid (SST or PSC1 wanted)
- Good teamwork, patience and punctuality
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
