2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Variable hours (morning, afternoon or full day), set by the unit's head nurse.
- Working time: 38 h 20 per week, or 7 h 40 per day.
- Regular work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays (care provided 24/7).
- 28 days of annual leave and 18 RTT days per year for a full-time job.
