Open to civil servants and contract agents. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAPA minimum (BEPA or BTS accepted)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of safety rules and instructions.
- Knowledge of plants and how to care for them.
- Skill with garden machinery.
- Practical sense and initiative.
- Good team spirit.
- Valid car driving licence required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours are adapted in summer and during rose garden guarding.
- May need to work outside normal hours (events, winter road clearing).
- Dangerous machines and work at height.
- Heavy goods licence (PL) appreciated; CACES certificates wanted. Full time: 37h30 per week, 25 days of leave and 15 RTT days.
