Can I apply if I am not Spanish?

EU citizens. They can apply for most civil servant posts, just like Spaniards. Posts that involve public authority, such as the Local Police, are excluded (article 57 of the Basic Statute of Public Employees).
Legal residents from outside the EU. They can apply for posts as personal laboral (employment contract), not for civil servant posts. We tell you for each call.
Family members. Spouses and children under 21 of Spanish and EU citizens can apply on the same terms.

How a Spanish public job call works

1. Check the group and qualification. Each post has a group (A1, A2, B, C1, C2 or professional groups) and the law sets the qualification for each one: from a university degree to secondary school, or none.
2. Apply on time. The period is usually 20 working days from the day after publication in the BOE (not counting Saturdays, Sundays or holidays). The date you see is an estimate: check it.
3. Read the rules. For city and provincial councils the BOE publishes only a summary: the full rules are in the provincial or regional gazette. We tell you where.

Basado en datos de la Agencia Estatal Boletín Oficial del Estado. Kandidatu summarises and rewrites each call in plain words: it is not an official publication and it is not endorsed by the BOE.
