Education: University graduation in a related field such as Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Justice Studies.
Experience: Four years of related experience, such as organizational development or human resources. Related experience or education may count on a one-for-one basis.

2 Resume and cover letter
Tailor your resume to this posting: use its words and show each requirement with a concrete example. In Canada, leave out your photo, age and marital status. Add a short cover letter if the posting asks for one or accepts it.

Apply online through the official Government of Alberta posting. You must include a 300 to 400 word cover letter written without outside help, and a resume that shows months and years for all education and work.
4 Interview, tests and references
If you are shortlisted, they contact you, often by email. Interviews can be in person or by video, and some jobs also have a written or practical test. Have two or three references ready: former supervisors who know your work.
Good to know:
- Final candidates must pass a criminal records check, and candidates pay for required checks and interview travel.
- The job may require travel between court locations across the province.
- Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
- The competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same or lower level.
