Specialized experience includes occupational health support for security personnel, assisting with fitness for duty and FMLA, and coordinating with healthcare, HR, and managers on medical conditions that affect work.

How to apply well
What to send:
- Resume, limited to two pages, with duties, start and end dates (month and year), and hours worked per week
- Competency Accomplishment Record
- Transcripts showing course title, credit hours, and grade if you use education to qualify
- DD-214 with character of service if claiming veterans' preference
- Most recent non-award SF-50 if you are a current TSA employee (strongly encouraged)
- SF-50 if you are a current or former non-TSA federal employee, showing band or grade
- TSA Form 1160 or SF-52 if you qualify through a TSA detail
How you will be rated: Your resume and supporting documents are rated against the job qualifications and four competencies: medical and nursing knowledge, TSA policy and leave compliance, decisiveness, and oral communication. Trained raters score you against set benchmarks, and you must meet a cut point to be considered, while overstating qualifications or cheating on an assessment can get you removed.
Tips for this job:
- Your resume must show how you meet each requirement, with dates and weekly hours. Copying announcement text will not be enough.
- If you use education to qualify, submit transcripts with your application by the closing date, not only if selected.
- Remember the Competency Accomplishment Record and keep your resume to two pages or less, since the system will not accept a longer one.
