This job is open to the public. You must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national, and no prior federal experience is required.

Experience: You need one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-12 that is directly related to this job. This includes advising on administrative payment errors, 1099 processing and reporting, or system fixes for reporting problems, plus interpreting federal accounting rules and writing evaluation reports with corrective actions.

Education: You can qualify with an accounting degree, or a related degree (such as business administration, finance, or public administration) that includes 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of business law. Or you can qualify with at least 4 years of accounting experience plus one of these: 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor certificate earned by written exam, or other approved accounting coursework.
