Who can apply: Federal employees - Excepted service, Internal to an agency, Federal employees - Competitive service, The public.
The job is open to the public. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this job.
Experience: For GS-9, no experience is required beyond the basic requirements. For GS-11, you need at least 1 year of post-master's social work experience at the GS-9 level in health care or other social work settings (VA or non-VA), plus a state license to practice independently.
Education: You must have a master's degree in social work from a school fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). A doctoral degree in social work cannot replace the master's degree. For GS-11, a doctoral degree in social work may be used in place of the required 1 year of clinical social work experience.
Licenses and certifications:

4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
