2 Resume and documents

3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes in 5 days (November 9, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
This job will close once 100 applications have been received, which may happen before the official closing date.
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your resume and documents are checked against your questionnaire answers, and top candidates go to a subject-matter expert resume panel. You must also complete an online assessment that measures general competencies. If your resume does not support your questionnaire answers or is missing required documents, you may be rated not qualified.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Top Secret), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Your resume must be two pages or less, or it will be removed from consideration.
- Show dates, hours per week, and duties for every job on your resume, since missing details can lead to not being referred.
- Submit both your resume and the online questionnaire, and check that your resume supports your questionnaire answers.
