How to apply well
What to send:
- Resume of no more than two pages, showing dates (month/year to present), hours per week, and duties for each job
- Most recent SF-50 if you are or were a current or former federal civilian employee
- DD-214 showing character of service, SF-15 and VA letter, or certification of expected discharge, if claiming veterans' preference
- Completed online questionnaire responses
- Other proof of eligibility listed in the DLA supporting documentation guide
How you will be rated: Your resume and documents are compared with your questionnaire answers to decide if you are qualified. Applicants who leave out required documents, or whose resume does not support their questionnaire answers, can be rated ineligible or not qualified. Interviews may be required, and declining or missing one counts as declining the job.
Tips for this job:
- Keep your resume to two pages or less, because longer resumes are removed from consideration.
- Show the dates (month/year), hours per week, and duties for every job on your resume, and match them to your questionnaire answers.
- If you have federal civilian service, attach your most recent SF-50 or it may lead to an ineligible rating.
