With experience: Your experience is rated against nursing grade levels from Nurse I to Nurse III, so check the announcement for the exact amount needed at each level. For example, Nurse I Level III requires an associate degree plus 2 years of professional nursing experience, one year of which is at Nurse I Level II.

With education: You must graduate from a nursing school accredited by ACEN or CCNE. Associate degree or diploma qualifies for Nurse I Level I, a BSN qualifies for Nurse I Level II, and an MSN or a master's in a related field with a BSN qualifies for higher levels. Foreign degrees are not counted as related degrees, and education can be used together with experience.

Licenses and certifications you need:

  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a U.S. state, territory, Puerto Rico, or DC
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license
