Closes in 331 days (September 30, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
The announcement may close before the posted closing date if the position is filled through other means, and applicants may be selected as vacancies open.
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: You are rated on how well you meet the qualifications, based on your application, resume or C.V., and supporting documents. VA verifies what you submit, and errors or missing information may affect your consideration. Veterans and preference eligible candidates get preference when qualifications are about equal, and VA performs pre-employment reference checks.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Other), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Upload your resume or C.V. and complete the occupational questionnaire, since errors or omissions can affect consideration.
- If you claim veterans' preference, attach your DD-214 and, for 10-point preference, an SF-15 with proof.
- Because vacancies fill as they open, apply as early as you can rather than waiting.
