4 After you apply

In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.

For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.

If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Other), then the final offer with your start date.

Tips for this job:

  • Upload the standard one-page Clinical Resume into the two-page Resume field, and put your full C.V. in the Other field.
  • If you cannot apply online before the closing date, contact the agency and include control number CBTC-12876854-26-SB in the Notes field.
  • If you are a current federal employee, get a recent SF-50 from your eOPF, not an award SF-50.
