PA-II needs two years of successful practice as a PA, a PA residency, or a health-related doctoral degree; PA-III needs three years as a PA, or a residency or doctorate plus one year of PA practice. The job can be filled at grades 1 to 3, and prior surgical or procedural experience is preferred.
Education: A master's degree in any discipline, or a bachelor's degree in any discipline plus one year of experience as a PA. Degrees must come from schools accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign education requires a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency sent with your transcript.

- Full and unrestricted license to practice as a PA in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or D.C. (current or to be obtained)

2 Resume and documents

3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes today (November 5, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: You will be rated on how well you meet the qualifications listed. Your application, resume, and documents will be verified, and errors or missing information may lower your rating or make you ineligible.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Other), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment if you want loan repayment help.
- Show your PANCE status and PA license clearly in your resume and documents.
- If you use education to qualify, send transcripts from accredited schools and a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency for foreign degrees.
