Who can apply: The public.
The announcement is open to the public, but NAF jobs in Germany follow the Status of Forces Agreement. You must be a U.S. citizen, or a citizen of a NATO country with a U.S. permanent resident card. Citizens of Germany and U.S. citizens who are ordinarily resident in Germany are not eligible.
Experience: You need skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles up to 10,000 pounds, and in loading and arranging cargo. You must be able to frequently lift objects up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Paid and unpaid experience count, including volunteer work. No grade level is stated for the experience.
Education: Education cannot replace experience for this job. Education from a foreign school can count, but you must show proof that it is equal to a U.S. education.
Experience can be paid or unpaid, volunteer work included: if it matches the duties, it counts. The full rules are in the announcement.
2 Resume and documents
Write a federal resume for this job. For each job you held, give the month and year you started and ended, your hours per week and what you did, using the words of the experience the announcement asks for. Many announcements accept resumes of up to 2 pages: check this one.
3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes in 10 days (November 13, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your application is first checked for eligibility. Then your resume, supporting documents and questionnaire answers are compared to see how well you meet the experience requirements. If you are found to have overstated your qualifications, you may lose consideration, and errors or missing items may affect your eligibility.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Make sure your resume clearly shows your driving and cargo-loading experience, since that is what qualifies you.
- Send your license and resume with your application, or it will be marked incomplete.
- Send proof of any preference you claim, such as a DD-214, by the 11/13/2026 closing date.
Kandidatu is an independent website: only the official posting counts. Read it before you apply.
