Who can apply: The public.
This job is open to the public, but you must be a U.S. citizen, a national, or someone who owes allegiance to the U.S. Non-U.S. nationals qualify only if they have lived in the U.S. or a U.S. territory for at least 3 continuous years right before federal employment began.
Experience: The minimum is work experience or education directly related to the duties. Stronger applicants have six months of experience training new employees, six months supporting recreation activities, or six months leading a team in a customer service recreation setting.
Education: This job does not have an education requirement. Education directly related to the duties can count toward the minimum qualification.
Licenses and certifications:
- Driver's license required if operating government vehicles
Experience can be paid or unpaid, volunteer work included: if it matches the duties, it counts. The full rules are in the announcement.
2 Resume and documents
Write a federal resume for this job. For each job you held, give the month and year you started and ended, your hours per week and what you did, using the words of the experience the announcement asks for. Many announcements accept resumes of up to 2 pages: check this one.
3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes in 9 days (November 12, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: An automatic questionnaire checks whether you meet basic qualifications first, then HR reviews your resume, supporting documents and questionnaire answers. Incomplete applications, including missing questionnaire answers, may be rated ineligible, and overstated experience can affect your consideration.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Describe your past duties under each job on your resume and questionnaire, since the minimum qualifications must appear there.
- Upload a copy of all supporting documents when you apply, because they are required at application.
- Answer every questionnaire item. Online applications close 11:59 PM Eastern on 11/12/2026; paper applications are due 1:00 PM PST that day.
Kandidatu is an independent website: only the official posting counts. Read it before you apply.
