Closes in 76 days (January 13, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
This announcement will close when a selection is made, which can happen before the listed closing date.
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your full application package, including your resume, supporting documents, and questionnaire answers, will be reviewed against the qualification requirements. Incomplete packages are not considered, and if your experience appears inflated, you may lose consideration.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Secret), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Attach copies of your FAA medical certificate and pilot certificates, or your application will be rated ineligible.
- Attach official flight records like DA-759 that show your hours, since the flight hour minimums are strict.
- Keep your resume to two pages or less and list month and year dates and hours per week for each job, or it may be marked incomplete.
