Education: You can substitute one full year of graduate-level education for the experience requirement. You can also combine graduate education with experience. Graduate education or an internship counts only if it is directly related to the job. A transcript is required if you use education.

Experience can be paid or unpaid, volunteer work included: if it matches the duties, it counts. The full rules are in the announcement.

Closes in 3 days (November 6, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).

This job will close once 25 applications are received, which may happen before the closing date of 11/06/2026.

You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.

Competencies tested include attention to detail, customer service, teamwork, and stress tolerance. Overstating your experience or cheating on the assessment can get you removed from consideration.

For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.

If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, then the final offer with your start date.

  • Show job title, duties, month and year dates, and hours per week for each past job on your resume, or it may not be credited.
  • Keep your resume to two pages or less, or you will be ruled ineligible.
  • Attach a transcript if you use education to qualify, and set aside at least 3 hours for the USA Hire assessments.
