How to apply well

What to send:

  • Resume of 2 pages maximum showing evidence of the ECQs and TQs
  • Do not use the USAJOBS resume builder
  • SF-50 if you hold or held a federal civil service job
  • Block 5-B showing a career SES appointment, if you are a current career SES member
  • Proof of SES reinstatement eligibility, if you are a former career SES member
  • Certificate of Executive Qualifications, if you are an SESCDP graduate
  • Most recent performance evaluation (strongly recommended)

How you will be rated: A panel of subject-matter experts first checks minimum qualifications, then rates how well your resume shows the ECQs and TQs. Top-rated candidates may be interviewed. Tips for this job:

  • Put evidence of all five ECQs and both TQs inside your two-page resume, since separate narratives are not reviewed.
  • Do not use the USAJOBS resume builder; upload your own resume instead.
  • If you hold or held a federal civil service job, include an SF-50 as a required upload.
