3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes tomorrow (November 4, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
The job closes once 50 applications are received, which may happen before the stated closing date.
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your application package, including your resume, supporting documents, and questionnaire answers, is reviewed to see if you meet the qualifications. Incomplete packages or missing information can make you ineligible. If it is found that you inflated your qualifications or experience, you may lose consideration.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Secret), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Your resume must be two pages or less and must list hours per week for each relevant job, or it may be marked incomplete.
- If you qualify through education, upload your transcript, or you will be rated ineligible.
- Upload documents early, since virus scanning can take up to an hour, and re-select any documents besides your resume in the online application.
