Who can apply: The public.
Open to U.S. citizens and legal U.S. residents who live in or around Vandenberg SFB, CA. Legal residents must have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years. Hiring preferences apply for some groups, including veterans, military spouses, and transitioning service members.
Experience: You need experience in food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food setting. You also need knowledge of food service equipment and cleaning, and the ability to season food and tell when it is done. Paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work, counts.
Education: This position does not allow education to replace experience.
Licenses and certifications:
- Food Handler's Certificate, or complete food handler's training after being hired
- DRAM shop training (training on serving alcohol)
