Education: You need a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university to meet the basic contracting requirement. The degree requirement does not apply if you held a qualifying contracting position in DoD or the military on or before September 30, 2000. Education cannot replace experience at this grade.

3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes in 5 days (November 9, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your application is first checked for basic eligibility against the qualifications. Applicants who meet the basic requirements are sent to the selecting official, and the Rule of Three and veterans' preference do not apply. You may also need to complete USA Hire online assessments, and errors or missing documents can make your application incomplete.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, a security clearance (Secret), then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Your resume must be 2 pages or less, or it will be removed from consideration.
- For each job on your resume, list hours per week and exact start and end dates.
- Include a transcript with your application, since a bachelor's degree is a basic requirement.
