Who can apply: The public.
Only U.S. citizens may apply, and you must provide proof of U.S. citizenship. The job is open to the public.
Experience: You need one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level. This means doing behavioral health assessments, providing individual and group treatment, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team (a team with several types of health workers).
Education: You need a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. Foreign degrees must be evaluated by a private organization as equivalent to a U.S. degree, or given full credit by a U.S. accredited college or university.
Licenses and certifications:
- Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice psychology independently from a U.S. state, D.C., territory, or jurisdiction
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
Experience can be paid or unpaid, volunteer work included: if it matches the duties, it counts. The full rules are in the announcement.
