Education: You need successful completion of a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. For foreign degrees, the education must be evaluated by a private organization as equivalent to a U.S. accredited program, or receive full credit at a U.S. accredited college or university.

2 Resume and documents
Write a federal resume for this job. For each job you held, give the month and year you started and ended, your hours per week and what you did, using the words of the experience the announcement asks for. Many announcements accept resumes of up to 2 pages: check this one.
3 Apply on USAJOBS
Closes in 65 days (December 31, until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time).
An initial cut-off date of 05/30/2026 will be used to start reviewing applicants, and applications received after it are considered at regular intervals or as vacancies open.
You sign in to USAJOBS with a Login.gov account, answer the questionnaire and upload your documents, then you submit. Answer the questionnaire honestly: your resume must show what you claim.
How they rate you: Your application package, including your resume, supporting documents, and online questionnaire, is reviewed to check if you meet the qualifications. Resumes over two pages are removed, and missing information can make you ineligible or lower your rating, and inflated qualifications can cost you consideration.
4 After you apply
In USAJOBS, under Applications, you can see where your application stands: received, reviewed, referred to the hiring manager or not, then selected or not. It can take a few weeks.
For the interview, prepare three examples with the STAR method: the Situation, the Task, what you did (Action) and the Result.
If they choose you: a tentative offer, then a background check, then the final offer with your start date.
Tips for this job:
- Keep your resume to two pages or less, because longer resumes are removed from consideration.
- Include employer, job title, month and year dates, and weekly hours for each relevant job on your resume.
- Attach your transcript and clinical license, because you will be rated ineligible without them. The complete package is due by 11:59 PM EST on 12/31/2026.
Kandidatu is an independent website: only the official posting counts. Read it before you apply.
