Who can apply: The public, Internal to an agency.
This job is open to U.S. citizens, nationals, and people who owe allegiance to the U.S. Current federal employees of the hiring agency may also apply under the internal listing.
Experience: Nurse II is the entry level and needs no experience. Nurse III requires 1 year of specialized CRNA experience equivalent to the Nurse II grade level.
Education: You need a master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs (COA) when you finished it. Applicants still finishing their degree may be tentatively selected but cannot be hired until the requirement is met.
Licenses and certifications:
- Active, current, full and unrestricted license to practice as a CNA or equivalent in a U.S. state, territory, or DC
- Full and current certification from the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or a COA-recognized equivalent
Experience can be paid or unpaid, volunteer work included: if it matches the duties, it counts. The full rules are in the announcement.
