Who can apply: The public.

Experience: You need one year of creditable experience at the next lower grade, which is GS-5. You must also show advanced knowledge of health care scheduling, patient flow, and medical terminology.
Education: A high school diploma, a GED equivalency certificate, or a proficiency certificate from a state or territorial board or department of education. Education must come from accredited schools to count.
