Legal requirements:
- Be a Mexican citizen with full civil rights, or a foreigner whose immigration status allows the job
- Not have been sentenced to prison for an intentional crime
- Be fit to perform duties in public service
- Not belong to the clergy or be a minister of any religion
- Not be barred from public service or have another legal or administrative impediment
- Not fall under the cases in Article 38, section VII of the Constitution
2 Register on TrabajaEn
Registration: October 14 to October 27.
Register for free on the Trabajaen portal (www.trabajaen.gob.mx) from October 14 to 27, 2026 to get your participation folio. Then send the documents when the Trabajaen Message Center asks for them.
To register you need your CURP and RFC, a TrabajaEn account and an up-to-date TrabajaEn CV. When you register for this job you get a folio number: keep it, you need it at every stage.
3 Exams and documents
The stages of the contest:
- I. Résumé review (registration on Trabajaen from October 14 to 27, 2026)
- II. Knowledge exams and skills assessments (from November 3, 2026)
- III. Experience evaluation and merit assessment (from November 3, 2026)
- IV. Interview with the Selection Committee (from November 3, 2026)
- V. Final decision on the winner (from November 3, 2026)
Minimum score: El examen de conocimientos técnicos requiere una calificación mínima de 80 (escala de 0 a 100). Para ser finalista se necesita un mínimo de 70 puntos en el Sistema de Puntuación General.

Keep in mind:
- The Trabajaen Message Center is the official communication channel; check it often.
- Original documents must be shown for checking. Photocopies are not accepted in their place.
- The Committee did not authorize reactivating folios for reasons caused by applicants.
- Passing results on the technical exam are valid for one year, as long as the syllabus does not change.

4 Interview and result
The interview is with the Selection Technical Committee: prepare examples of your experience in the duties of the job. Then the committee chooses the winner. If you are a finalist and do not win, you join the candidate reserve for the job for one year.
The duties of the job:
- Support the review of environmental risk studies and contingency programs.
- Take part in processing and reviewing documents for environmental impact authorizations.
- Support the evaluation of requests for cross-border movement of hazardous waste.
- Support outreach on air quality and handling of hazardous substances and waste.
- Propose measures for integrated pollution prevention and control tools.
- Review progress on reducing air emissions and polluting discharges.
