Mexican citizens with full rights and foreigners whose immigration status allows them to do the job can apply. They must meet the education and experience required in the job profile.
Education: Bachelor's degree · Holds a degree

- Ingeniería Civil
Experience: 2 years of experience
In these areas:
- Environmental Engineering and Technology
- Protection of Water Infrastructure
- Construction Technology
- Agronomy
Legal requirements:
- Be a Mexican citizen with full rights, or a foreigner whose immigration status allows the job.
- Not have been sentenced to prison for an intentional crime.
- Be fit to perform duties in the public service.
- Not belong to the clergy or be a minister of any religion.
- Not be disqualified from public service and have no other legal impediment.
2 Register on TrabajaEn
Registration: October 14 to October 27.
Register on the TrabajaEn website at https://www.TrabajaEn.gob.mx between October 14 and 27, 2026. Then check your TrabajaEn messages for the dates of each stage.
To register you need your CURP and RFC, a TrabajaEn account and an up-to-date TrabajaEn CV. When you register for this job you get a folio number: keep it, you need it at every stage.
3 Exams and documents
The stages of the contest:
- I. Resume review: call published on October 14, 2026; candidate registration from October 14 to 27, 2026; resume review on October 27, 2026; document check and delivery before January 11, 2027 (deadline).
- II. Technical knowledge exam, general federal public administration knowledge exam, and skills assessment: before January 11, 2027 (deadline).
- III. Experience assessment and merit review: before January 11, 2027 (deadline).
- IV. Interview: before January 11, 2027 (deadline).
- V. Final decision on the result of the competition: before January 11, 2027 (deadline).
Minimum score: 70 en una escala de 0 a 100 puntos, sin decimales

Keep in mind:
- The dates for stages II to V are deadlines; Conagua will send the exact place, day and time through TrabajaEn (under My messages).
- If you do not take an evaluation or do not attend the interview, you are disqualified from the competition.
- Arriving more than fifteen minutes late to an evaluation means you are disqualified.
- Finalists who do not win may join the pool of candidates for one year.

4 Interview and result
The interview is with the Selection Technical Committee: prepare examples of your experience in the duties of the job. Then the committee chooses the winner. If you are a finalist and do not win, you join the candidate reserve for the job for one year.
The duties of the job:
- Supervise the physical and financial progress of the works.
- Check that works and materials meet the set standards.
- Study the location of material sources for the works.
- Interpret material test results and make timely corrections.
- Review finished works for final payment and handover records.
