How to apply well
What to send:
- Resume of two pages or less showing all six required details for each job: exact title, employer contact information, start and end month and year, hours per week, pay plan/series/grade, and duties and accomplishments
- Transcripts showing full course listing, credits, grades, subject areas, degrees, and dates if you qualify through education (unofficial is allowed for now)
- DD-214 if you claim veterans' preference

How you will be rated: Applicants are rated under DOJ's category rating process, and a subject matter expert reviews only the first two pages of your resume starting at work experience. You must also pass the USA Hire online assessment, and you are placed as Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. If you rate yourself higher than your materials support, your rating may be lowered or you may be excluded, and repeating the specialized experience statement in your resume can make you ineligible.
Tips for this job:

- Do not repeat the specialized experience statement in your resume, because HR may treat that as ineligible.
- Complete the USA Hire assessment within 48 hours of the closing date of 11/04/2026, since it is part of your application.
