Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who did not pass a public competition can be hired directly, because the post is open to an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Level 3 diploma in catering
The profile they look for:
- Level 3 diploma in catering.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Rigour, efficiency and teamwork skills.
- Ability to handle unexpected situations.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 15 (Closes in 14 days)
Apply online through the official offer link, stating the offer reference. You can also apply on the employer’s website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C post, no management duties.
- Remote work is not possible.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
- Mobile post: you work in several high schools.
