2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, using the single form named in the offer. Interior ministry staff use a specific mobility form.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work possible.
- Paid on-call duty in the evenings and at weekends.
- Hours may change to meet service needs, especially for crisis management.
- Security clearance (secret défense) and driving licence B requested depending on posting.
