Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Grades concerned: technicien, technicien principal de 2nd or 1st class.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Diagnose and fix hardware, software and network problems
- Knowledge of local authorities and public procurement
- Knowledge of local networks and operating systems
- Lead a technical project from needs to go-live
- Explain things clearly to non-technical people
- Rigour, autonomy and a sense of public service
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
