What you would do

  • Embed tissues in paraffin for the samples given to the post holder.
  • Cut sections with a microtome and stain slides.
  • Prepare samples for electron microscopy, to a lesser extent.
  • Train staff to use the self-service cutting instruments.
  • Monitor maintenance of the Histology Platform equipment.
