Civil servants can apply by transfer, secondment or aptitude list, for the grades of Technicien or Technicien principal. Contract staff can also apply.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of animal and plant biology, physics and chemistry.
- Knowledge of standards, analysis techniques and waste disposal procedures.
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety rules for laboratories.
- Ability to use and check automated analysis machines.
- Ability to spot anomalies and report them.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
