Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open to an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of laws on housing hygiene and building safety.
- Knowledge of the Mayor’s police powers.
- Good computer skills.
- Good writing and people skills.
- Organised and methodical.
- Team spirit and discretion.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Swearing-in as an enforcement officer is preferred; the town can offer training to obtain it.
- Location: Centre Administratif et Technique, Montgeron.
- Remote work possible under an agreement.
