Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff. A contract worker may be hired if no civil servant has applied. Technician or supervisor grades.
Category: Category B (intermediate)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of roads, engineering structures and material standards.
- Skills in road laboratory tests and checks.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules.
- Ability to follow several worksites at the same time.
- Autonomy, rigour and good organisation.
- Good people skills and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Frequent travel across the whole of Charente.
- Outdoor work, with schedule and weather constraints.
- Working at heights and near water is possible.
- Several worksites at once, sometimes far apart.
