Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade in category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Bac to bac+3 in industrial maintenance or electromechanics
The profile they look for:
- Bac to bac+3 training in industrial maintenance or electromechanics
- Skills in mechanics, instrumentation, automation and remote monitoring
- Electrical authorisation BR/BC/HC/H2V
- Good use of spreadsheets and supervision software
- Driving licence category B
- Teamwork, independence and a sense of public service
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working hours of 37h or 37h30 per week, with some flexibility
- Weekly on-call duty on a rota
- Service vehicle, mobile phone and protective equipment provided
- Remote work not possible
