Doctors of the hors classe or exceptional classe of professional firefighters can apply, with 6 years of effective service. Contract or seconded health professionals with equivalent seniority and qualifications can also apply.

Diploma: Doctor of medicine, registered with the medical council

Experience: 6 years of effective service in a fire service (civil servants) or 6 years of activity (contract staff)

The profile they look for:

  • Doctor of medicine, registered with the medical council
  • Chief officer training (FAE de chefferie) is a plus
  • Medical rescue director training is a plus
  • Experience as deputy chief medical officer of firefighters is a plus
  • Ability to organise, manage and work across teams
  • Sense of teamwork and responsibility
2 Résumé and cover letter

A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
