Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade is category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: Cooking diploma at level V at least (CAP/BEP level)
The profile they look for:
- Cooking diploma at level V at least.
- Know hygiene and safety rules, including the HACCP method.
- Know nutrition guidelines and special diets.
- Know food stock management rules.
- Be able to talk with teenagers and work in a team.
- Be rigorous, creative and quick to react.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
