Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experience in collective catering is wanted
The profile they look for:
- Know the hygiene rules and the HACCP method
- Master cooking standards for collective catering
- Know how to manage food stocks
- Respect the time limits for preparing meals
- Be able to lead and motivate a team
- Have basic computer skills (management, orders, inventories)
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- The person must be able to replace the head chef.
